"Ace" is not only handsome, he has the breeding to back him up! He is a black stallion with NO RED GENE! He has Dock, Squirrel, and Kilburn's Chocolate Sundown in his background. Ace is one of the very few stallions in the Maple's Squirrel line. He has excellent conformation and a naturally smooth 4-beat gait. He has an exemplary disposition and the build of a true Rocky Mountain horse!  Ace is Registered and Certified with RMHA.

We took Ace to his first Rocky Mountain show - July 29, 2006 - the Kentucky State Show in Bowling Green. We showed him in the Junior Conformation class - for 2 to 4 year-olds. There were experienced horses in the class and even mares! Ace was so well behaved and drew the attention of not only the judge, but lots of people in the audience. Out of a class of 10 - he was Reserve Champion.

Jerry started Ace under saddle in late Summer - 2006. As we predicted, he took to riding like he had done it all of his life. Never bucked and behaved like a perfect gentleman. His gait is as smooth as we thought it would be - just like it looks in the field. He is great on the trails - we ride him with all kinds of horses, even mares that are in season and he is very well behaved. Jerry now has him neck-reining. Ace is so smart - he picked it up in one afternoon! Ace is an exemplary stallion - he displays excellent ground manners. He loads himself into the trailer and backs out quietly. He loves to play Parelli games with Jerry. His conformation, disposition, breeding, and presence are a wonderful testament to the Rocky Mountain breed.
